Sharnelle Vella is taking on Breakfast Radio in 2025. Stepping away from her role as 7News Melbourne’s State Political Reporter, Sharnelle is joining the ABC to teaming up with Bob Murphy. An award winning Journalist, Sharnelle  has extensive media experience in radio and commercial broadcast news and events.

She covered several of the biggest court cases in Victorian history including the trial and sentence of Cardinal George Pell,  Bourke street attacker James Gargasoulas,  school girl killer Sean Price and the Christmas Day terror plotters.
